Her captivating style is the result of years of private voice training including undergraduate studies at Howard University where she graduated with honors.</p> <p>Julie began performing in her youth, forming her own Top 40 Band at 15 in her native Baltimore. By 18, she had worked with the group Sister Sledge and recorded the theme for a PBS Television production, while continuing to cultivate her stage presence by appearing in musical theater.</p> <p>Julie seasoned her chops and delivery as a solo artist opening in packed houses for Whitney Houston, Natalie Cole, BeBe Winans, Grover Washington, Jr., and Les McCann. In her fifteen years as a vocalist, Julie has developed into a singer in constant demand that has delighted audiences big and small in concert as well as during her long running weekly engagements at venues in the Baltimore/Washington area.
